Gina has been working in acute care and long term care. After listening to multiple colleagues gripe when their New Year’s Resolutions were not panning out she saw a need for additional nutritional counseling and provided support.
Gina has a Bachelor of Science from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. She was active as president of the KSU Student Dietetic Association, Alpha Phi Omega Co-Ed Service Fraternity (pledge class president), KSU University Orchestra (violin), Spinning Instructor, and provided nutrition counseling/classes as an outreach program for the Coleman Professional Services.
She has received awards and distinction from her professors and has been named to the Dean’s and President’s Lists for academic achievements.
After graduation in 2007, she attended the University of Maryland—College Park Dietetic Internship which provided an emphasis on information technology and communications. Gina has worked and attended seminars at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Johns Hopkins Bayview, and the US Department of Agriculture to name a few. Gina has worked in Pittsburgh for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and is currently employed with the GoldenLiving in Cumberland, Maryland.
